Sivans Ost

Sivan Johansson’s life has always revolved around cheese. Her craft has been handed down the generations since 1875, when her maternal grandfather's mother Kristina began to work on various farms as a dairymaid. Today, in premises in Tråvad in the county of Västra Götaland, Swedish hard cheeses are carefully matured to make tasty delicacies. Sivan runs the business together with her youngest daughter Sofia. The quality of the cheeses is really important, and they must be given plenty of time to develop the right flavour. Her cheeses have now become well known and Sivan has received many exceptional awards for her work in preserving traditional Swedish cuisine.
